our galleries
We have four galleries located in the Grand Center Arts District of Saint Louis, Missouri. Each gallery is a non-for-profit, non-commercial, gallery. We don't take commission or charge our artists to show with us. Instead, the majority of our artists are selected through a call for submissions which is judged by a jury independent from the Foundation. We created this site to extend the benefits of showing with us. Every artist that exhibits in our galleries is given the opportunity to list their work for sale here. With this resource, we hope that our artists will find that their work is more accessible to more people and that they are able to generate revenue in a different way than is traditionally offered in a standard commercial gallery. Additionally, because the Foundation's mission is to help the arts, and therefore artists, thrive, we don't take any commission on the purchases made on this website. The artist sees more than 80% of the profit, with the remaining money directed at covering processing fees and operational costs. This is drastically different from the 50% commission that typical commercial galleries charge their exhibiting artists. By purchasing a piece of art with us, you can rest assured that you are genuinely supporting local St. Louis artists and making an investment in the regional arts community.

our history
The Kranzberg Arts Foundation and founders, Ken and Nancy Kranzberg have made lasting contributions that have changed the landscape of the arts community in the St. Louis region. In particular, their support and guidance in Grand Center Arts District have led to the development and relocation of many of St. Louis’ most important cultural institutions and venues including KDHX 88.1 FM, KWMU 90.7 FM, the Sun Theater, and Metro Theater Company.
Since 2006, we have been passionately committed to providing local, emerging artists and community arts organizations the vital space and tools to perform and showcase their work, thus fulfilling the collective vision to be part of not only a vibrant and growing arts ecosystem, but also a premier arts and entertainment destination. The Kranzberg Arts Foundation developed and currently operates venues, galleries, and office space for nonprofits, including The Kranzberg, .ZACK, The Marcelle, The Grandel Theatre, The Dark Room, The Big Top, and High Low. In addition to these venues, the Foundation has been instrumental in the formation of the Music at the Intersection Festival, the Wednesday Night Jazz Crawl, and the St. Louis Art Place Initiative. Through the foundation’s tireless efforts and generous contributions, necessary infrastructure has been put in place for the arts to thrive in St. Louis for generations to come.
